Purpose:

Joining our dynamic team as a Warehouse Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Projects and Technical teams by handling the preparation of equipment, sets, loading, and other event-related tasks.

As an integral member of the warehouse team, your responsibilities will encompass maintaining the efficiency of the warehouse through tasks such as assessing and testing equipment, monitoring stock levels, and overseeing set management.

Your direct reporting line will be to the Warehouse Manager, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to the seamless operations of our warehouse and the success of our events. Your responsibilities will include:

– Loading & Goods-In Testing
Work alongside the team to load & unload vehicles, test equipment in accordance with Goods-In procedures and return items to stock.

– Prepping Equipment
Support the Production Department in prepping kit before it goes out on show.

– Hire Track
Ensure that all equipment is scanned In and Out of our Hire track system ensuring traceability of stock. The warehouse manager will monitor the ‘Late Returns’ list.

– X-Hire
Ensure that all X-Hired equipment is put to one side ready for collection or returning to suppliers on time preventing any additional charges, liaising with suppliers as necessary.

– Sets
Prepare set panels this can be making panels to suit the construction diagrams supplied and covering in materials required for the event. The sets will be placed on the prep bay and labelled to the relevant event.

– Consumables
Perform fortnightly stock checks of consumables and notify the warehouse manager when levels are low and need replenishing.

– Repairs
Assist with identifying faulty equipment. Update the Repairs list on hiretrack ensuring a maintenance report is documented. Any minor repairs will be carried out in-house. When a major fault is identified that cannot be fixed in house the warehouse manager will be informed and the equipment is sent away for repairs and new ordered if required.

– PAT testing and Stock check
Assist in carrying out a stock check of all equipment annually and assist with PAT testing.

– Housekeeping
Adhere to H&S regulations, including the wearing of PPE. This includes safety boots. Ensure that the warehouse maintains a tidy workplace ensuring fire-exits walkways are kept clear. Ensuring that the warehouse complies with all security measures including setting alarms, roller-shutter doors, keys in safe.

Skills & experiences required:

– Good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
– Excellent written English, as you will be communicating constantly with Clients, Delegates, Suppliers etc.
– Excellent verbal communication skills.
– ‘Can do’ positive attitude.
– Confidence to use initiative and be pro-active.
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
– Ability to multi-task and support on multiple projects at one time.
– Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
