International Women’s Day 2021
In support of International Women’s Day 2021, we’ll be celebrating a range of our female employees across the week, as we ask them to share their thoughts and experiences around topics such as gender equality and diversity, as well as advice and wisdom they would share with their younger self, if they could!
Beth Taylor – Video Editor
Since graduating from University with a degree in Television and Production, Beth has developed her skills further across event industry film and video. Her degree covered the many different stages of creating content, including editing which has allowed her to bring her own creative edge to the Studio at Corporate Events. She’s looking forward to more on-location opportunities as both hybrid and face-to-face events return later this year.
Beth shares her thoughts on the woman who has inspired her most, as well as equality and diversity and advice she’d give to her younger self, if she could.
Who has inspired you most as a woman?
Can you share a piece of advice that has stayed with you throughout your career?
What does gender equality mean to you and why do you think diversity is important in the workplace?
To me, gender equality means women having the same space to rise as men do. I think we are slowly but surely getting there.
From diversity in the workplace, we learn to understand and welcome new perspectives and ultimately, grow. Life would be dull if we were all cut from the same cloth.
What piece of advice would you give to your younger self, if you could?
Join us tomorrow where we’ll continue to celebrate and recognise International Women’s Day across the week, as we hear from some more of the team at Corporate Events.
