To celebrate their 30th anniversary NHBC embraced a new online event format, in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, for Building for tomorrow 2021. The event ran over three days in March, and the focus was to guide attendees through key issues affecting the future of home building, with an even wider range of topics and more keynote speakers to inform, challenge perceptions and provide solutions.
Building for tomorrow 2021 took place via our in-house Desktop Studios, to deliver a completely remote, three-day virtual event with two concurrent streams across each day.
A Senior Project Manager provided all pre-event management and oversaw logistics, speaker management, filming and editing and all content creation, as well as overall delivery of the virtual event.
A ticketed registration page was created, and this was integrated into the client’s core website. We monitored registration, payments, enquiries and provided all post-event analytics.
Our client chose Swapcard from our portfolio of online event platforms and our in-house creative studio crafted all graphics and animations for the event, while our digital team implemented the build of the event into Swapcard, as well as all testing and delivery.
Using the existing ‘Building for tomorrow’ and NHBC brands, we created assets including virtual backgrounds and holding frames, a digital agenda, user packs and digital assets for Swapcard, as well as an opening animated sting.
Event communications and marketing support was also provided, through delivery of copywriting and graphics, which were then delivered through fully customised e-communications to delegates both pre- and post-event, some of which took place via Swapcard and some via our custom-made comms platform.
Briefing packs were created, collated and posted to over 30 speakers ahead of their pre-recorded sessions, these also included a lighting ring, microphone and headphones to enhance the ‘at home’ filming quality.
All 42 pre-recorded sessions featured across the three-day event and these included over 30 host introductions as well as graphics, overlays and all editing. Each presentation was followed by a live Q&A between the speaker and the host.
800 delegates joined Building for tomorrow 2021, with all content then being made available on-demand to all attendees until December 2021, via Swapcard.
Our client commented “Planning a virtual event in such uncertain times comes with a number of challenges. After a lot of research we chose Corporate Events to help us deliver this. This was not the wrong decision. The whole team eased us into the planning and preparation with clear communications, guidance and support.
It was delivered a short timeline with over 30 speakers and 3 whole days of packed content and went without a hitch. Corporate events managed and scheduled all the speaker pre-recordings, as well as on the day live Q&A and a team ready to help with any questions from both users and presenters.
Arriving onsite on the morning of the event filled us with confidence and the delivery and follow up was smooth and thorough. They made it easy for us and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.”
