Now in its 14th year, the Professional Adviser Awards sets out to identify, celebrate and honour the very best from across the UK’s financial adviser sector.
Across the 33 award categories, there were accolades for both individuals and firms – including the UK Adviser Firm of the Year deliberated over by a panel of almost 30 judges and the Personality of the Year which is voted for by their peers via Twitter.
The celebratory event was held in The Porter Tun room at The Brewery, chosen by the client for the flexibility of the space and the second-to-none catering and service. Drawing on the masquerade design elements supplied by the client’s in-house design team, Corporate Events brought the concept to life through the set and stage design and keynote creative. The stunning 50ft wide set prominently featured the 18ft x 8ft screen which showed off the deck and live relays of the award winners. This was set against a twinkling star cloth which echoed the colours of the creative. Two 12ft x 14ft outer panels showcased the vibrant event creative. The event theming was continued through to the eye-catching lightbox table plan and the mask table decorations.
The 500 attendees were welcomed into a drinks reception and perused a number of collectable photographic artwork which were to be auctioned off to raise money for the event’s chosen charity, Place2Be. Guests were then invited to take their seats and the evening began with entertainment from comedian and host for the evening, Luke Kemper. Luke delighted the crowd with his fantastic and on-the-nose impressions! During the awards, live music walk ups were provided by 3-piece modern rock band, Firekind, which added to the ambiance of the event.
Elliott Kindler, a representative from Place2Be, gave a moving speech about the work the charity does to provide mental health and counselling support to primary school children in schools.
This is the first event that Corporate Events have delivered for this client and we can’t wait to work with them again.
This is the first time I’ve run this particular awards event and I wanted to bring something fresh and new and do something different. I was really impressed with the proposal and concepts that Corporate Events made, coupled with visiting a live event that they were delivering – the set looked fantastic and the event ran really smoothly – the process working with Corporate Events has been flawless. The communication and the quality of the creative content has been really impressive.”
