Construction News Awards

The Construction News Awards 2020 celebrated 24 years of showcasing the very best in the industry. As the most prestigious and coveted awards in the sector it provides a well-recognised badge of excellence amongst clients and peers.

The categories recognise amazing projects, technical innovations and forward-thinking companies, including the biggest contractors and businesses in the sector and celebrate the people, pride and passion of the industry.

Our client made the decision to transition the traditional in-person awards ceremony, which we would normally delivery at Grosvenor House, into a virtual online event worthy of the industry and event objectives – which would allow Corporate Events to demonstrate our skills and facilities across virtual event implementation.

Our in-house creative studio provided content creation across the opening sting, slide deck and graphics, bringing the identity to life across the LED wall throughout the online event.

The online ceremony was pre-recorded within Studio One at our Virtual Studio facility in Swindon, Wiltshire, where we provided full project management, technical support and co-ordination of the live streaming.

We welcomed event host, comedian, writer and actor, Tom Allen, alongside Editor and co-host Lem Bingley to Virtual Studio 2, which features another of our LED walls. This allowed all content to be surfaced from the opening animation and slide deck, to sponsor videos and live winner interviews over 20 awards – all supported by our onsite content team.

Once again, our client used Swapcard as a platform, which enabled them to create an engaging and interactive awards stream that allowed attendees to learn more about each shortlisted entrant, and network with each other.

Our client commented, “Thanks again for today. Such an excellent team and operation you guys have. Pleasure to work with.”

The event was attended by over 700 unique viewers via the Swapcard platform and you can watch the Construction News Awards 2020 right here.
