Environmental Packaging Live

Overview

The Environmental Packaging Live event showcases innovations and sustainability in the packaging industry. Held over two days, this summit and exhibition brings together industry leaders to promote environmental awareness and engage in crucial discussions. This year, the event took place at the Park Plaza Victoria in London and our brief was simple, to create a sustainable and cost-effective set design that looks amazing!

Solution

Our team sort out to propose an innovative idea that aligned with the packaging industry whilst also being sustainable. To do so, we opted to use recycled wooden pallets to create a dramatic backdrop to the set. Twenty-four pallets were carefully assembled and backed with black felt to create a unique twin projection set backdrop.

To enhance the set further, we used LED light batons which were placed between the pallets and the felt to illuminate the structure from within, creating depth. We also used LED to create squares which were fixed to the backdrop, echoing package boxes.

Sustainability within every detail of this event was essential, meaning we used recycled carpet on the stage and 100% sustainable print materials throughout the event to showcase the event branding.

As a final touch, realistic faux plants were used to frame the set and emphasize the environmental theme.

Outcome

Attendee’s feedback on the set was hugely positive feedback, saying that it perfectly aligned with the event’s theme and purpose. Our client’s events team feedback that they felt in safe hands throughout and that we were incredibly accommodating with all the last-minute changes, delivering the event to a very high standard.
